Treadmill Workouts For Targeting Abs

Treadmill workouts can be a great way to target your abs and engage your core muscles. Here are a few exercises you can incorporate into your treadmill routine to focus on your abs:

1. High Incline Walk: Increase the incline on your treadmill to a challenging level and walk at a brisk pace.

Engage your core muscles to maintain balance and stability throughout the workout.

2. Side Shuffles: Stand sideways on the treadmill with your feet shoulder-width apart.

Set the speed to a slow pace and shuffle your feet laterally, crossing one foot over the other.

This exercise targets your obliques and helps improve lateral stability.

3. Mountain Climbers: Start by placing your hands on the treadmill console and assume a plank position.

Bring one knee at a time towards your chest, alternating between legs.

This exercise engages your entire core, including your abs.

4. Plank Holds: Step off the treadmill and assume a plank position on the floor.

Hold the position for 30 seconds to 1 minute, engaging your abs and maintaining a straight line from your head to your heels. Rest and repeat for multiple sets.

Remember to warm up before starting any treadmill workout and gradually increase the intensity and duration of your exercises.

It’s also important to maintain proper form and listen to your body to avoid injury.
